Eclipsing Black is an ambient project started on December 31, 2008 by Davis Hay. Eclipsing Black employs dark droning ambience and harsh black metal vocals to create a truly dark atmosphere.

But anyways, sorry that I have been so absent on the board lately. I will definitely be posting more often.

Here are some updates regarding Eclipsing Black:

I have approached [Only admins are allowed to see this link], a Polish label, about releasing the new album. I just sent the owner a digital version of the album today after they had expressed they wanted to hear the entire new album. I'm excited and hope things work out with this label Smile

That being said, the new album is done and you can view the album artwork and track listing here: [Only admins are allowed to see this link]

I also have a question for all of the fans. How many of you would be interested in purchasing t-shirts if I had them printed?

The back would also likely say: "a brief reprieve
truly a beautiful utterance
but only a reprieve..." in a simple, clean font. All orders would be directly handled by me.

I also must state that I am no longer a Christian; the new album, conceptually, is an attempt to come to terms with that reality.

Due to this, I am no longer a member of Harvester of Souls. I have however, started up a death metal project with some friends. [Only admins are allowed to see this link]. Any releases are far from completion, but we will hopefully be done sometime in the next year.

I agree - but I am not working on any more material until I complete a three month course in audio engineering that I will be starting in January. But after that (mainly because I will be very busy during that time), I am most definitely down for another split.

Unfortunately the local t-shirt printing company only does 8"x12" prints (size of a piece of paper, basically) on shirts - so that was not an option. I have just ordered a XXL and a M sized shirt from [Only admins are allowed to see this link] - if those turn out good I'll set up a shop so people can buy the shirts internationally from that website. I'll post pictures once I receive mine so you can all see the quality.

Eclipsing Black will be signing with [Only admins are allowed to see this link], a Polish label, in early August. Plans are for the debut album, A Beautiful Utterance, to be released sometime around November/December, likely 200 copies in CDr PRO format (in ecopaks). Also, they have plans for new artwork, the art I had announced will be scrapped... Fine with me Razz

Eclipsing Black Free Single, "Irrevocable Silence" is almost ready to upload. The artwork will be finished soon, and I'll zip it up so you all can download it. As well, don't forget that the full length, "A Beautiful Utterance" will be released on November 30th on Via-Nocturna Records.

I downloaded your Bacteriophage EP and found it to be excellent, so it's nice to hear that from you.

As far as the artwork goes, the owner of the Via-Nocturna is an amazing digital artist and also runs Studio XIII (http://www.studioxiii.pl/). He said he had a nice cover in mind after he had listened to it, so I let him do a new design. I like it a lot more.
